As a teacher, incorporating technology into our instructional strategies has become more important than ever. One exciting aspect of educational technology is the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into lesson design and teaching. AI-powered tools can enhance student learning, provide personalized feedback, and support instructional planning. To help you harness the power of AI, in addition to my recommendations from part 1, here are 5 additional websites and/or apps that you should check out:
Quizizz is a gamified learning platform that incorporates AI to engage and assess students. You can use the magic of AI to seamlessly create a variety of different quiz questions. In fact, you can create quizzes from scratch from a variety of media (video, text etc.) in a matter of seconds.
You can also take any existing questions created by you or students from a google form or google sheet and use AI to make the questions "fun" or centered around a theme! If you're not using quizizz for any of its mastery learning features, or a variety of different question and/or game modes, you must check it out!
Curiopod is an interactive teaching platform that allows teachers to create engaging lessons using AI integration. From generating an entire presentation using AI to inserting a variety of engaging brain breaks and/or small group discussion prompts, Curiopod offers a perfect way to start from something new or adding some extra flavor to an existing lesson, it is a great entry into the AI space.
Padlet serves as a virtual bulletin board where teachers can create a visually appealing and easily accessible space for sharing resources, assignments, and information. Its versatility allows educators to incorporate various multimedia elements, such as images, videos, links, and documents, fostering a more immersive and personalized learning experience.
Padlet promotes student interaction through features like comments and collaborative boards, enabling seamless communication and idea-sharing among classmates. The platform also supports both synchronous and asynchronous learning, accommodating different teaching styles and preferences. With its user-friendly interface, Padlet empowers teachers to create an inclusive and interactive online environment that stimulates student participation, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
Their last wave of updates have been AMAZING!!!!! Look at everything you can now post on your boards. Using padlet has increased discussion engagement tenfold!
Have you ever wanted to try to refresh an entire unit? Have you been handed a brand new class or topic to prep, and you have no idea what to do? I'm playing with re-organizing my economics classes in terms of when and what is taught in each unit, I plugged "intro to economic principles" into the generator, and in less than 45 seconds, it fired out a full 4 week skeleton for a unit plan. I'm still new to this app, but I'm excited to see how else it can enhance my teaching! Stay tuned for updates!!!
